Receives orders from customers, obtaining all information necessary to process and enter orders into the

computer system. Is responsible for additional paperwork relating to order processing. Responds to all

customer service inquiries/concerns.

  1. Receives orders from customers. Obtains all necessary information to approve the order and enters it into the

computer system.

  1. Completes additional departmental paperwork, filing, acknowledgments and memorandums.

  2. Responds to customer inquiries regarding billing and shipping errors, backorders, and other service-related

concerns.

  1. Advises Regional and District Managers of potential customers or distribution centers within their area.

  2. Receives and revises EDI orders.

  3. May be assigned as relief operator for switchboard.

  4. Assigns priority codes and air freight forms in preparation of order shipments.

  5. Completes special paperwork required for special customers order processing.

  6. Required to access electronic data imaging files to provide historical information.

  7. Is responsible for monitoring backorders and communicating to customers.

  8. Operates general office equipment including personal computer, copier, and fax machine.

  9. Processes the transfer and sale of non-inventory items.

  10. Is responsible for quality and safety of own work and compliance of all company procedures and policies

Required: High school education.

Preferred: High school education with short specialty courses in service related areas and six months experience in a service environment.
