Customer Service Representative (Direct Hire | Onsite)

Location: Downtown Indianapolis, IN Salary: $48,000 – $50,000 annually Schedule: Full-time | Monday–Friday | Fully onsite

About the Opportunity

We are partnering with a growing organization in downtown Indianapolis to hire a Customer Service Representative for a direct hire opportunity. This is a critical role on a tight-knit 3-person team where personality, reliability, and customer focus are key to success.

If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy problem-solving, and don't mind spending much of your day on the phone supporting both internal teams and customers, this could be a great fit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle a high volume of inbound and outbound calls with internal sales teams and customers
  • Provide real-time support on:
    • Product availability and inventory checks
    • Shipping status and tracking updates
    • Order processing and replacement requests
  • Enter and manage purchase orders via phone, email, fax, and EDI systems
  • Investigate and resolve shipping delays and order discrepancies
  • Support both individual customers and larger commercial accounts
  • Respond to customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism and urgency
  • Maintain accurate data in ERP systems and spreadsheets

What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years of customer service experience (call center or high-volume environment preferred)
  • Comfortable being on the phone for the majority of the day
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage customer concerns
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Tech-savvy with the ability to quickly learn new systems
  • Experience working with an ERP system (any platform)
  • Intermediate Excel skills (able to navigate spreadsheets, track data, and update information)
