**Job Summary:**
As a Customer Service Representative, you will serve as the initial point of contact for our customers, addressing their inquiries and concerns. Your primary responsibility will be to assist customers in navigating their questions, resolving issues, and facilitating a seamless order process.
Proficiency in computer operations is essential, as you will need to retrieve information and input data accurately. Additionally, you will assist customers who are picking up their orders. In the event of any shipping challenges, you will be responsible for addressing and resolving these issues efficiently.
Your role will also involve consistent monitoring of customer orders to ensure satisfaction and to address any potential problems. Furthermore, you may be required to assist with the safe loading and unloading of trucks. It is important to maintain an up-to-date knowledge of our products and their locations within the warehouse, ensuring that quantities and quality are verified during the scanning and organization processes.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in-person, providing accurate information about products, services, and orders.
- Assist customers with order placement, changes, and cancellations, ensuring a smooth transaction process.
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Collaborate with warehouse and sales teams to ensure order fulfillment and delivery schedules are met.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of flooring products and company policies.
- Process returns and exchanges according to company guidelines.
- Update customer records and maintain a database of interactions.
- Assist Will-Call customers as needed.
- Handle freight issues that arise promptly.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in customer service.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Proficient in using computer systems.
- Positive attitude and a team player who is willing to go the extra mile for customers.
- Ability to be trained to safely operate a forklift and pallet jack.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent customer service skills.
