DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The Customer Service Representative (CSR) at Formulated Materials is responsible utilizing a high energy approach to clearly identify current customer needs and provide excellent customer service within a team environment for a fun and fast-growing company.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist with managing current customer accounts and aid in setup of new customers.
  • Manage a high volume of phone calls/emails.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers, and freight brokers.
  • Assist with managing and/or ordering inventory for warehouse.
  • Enter sales orders and purchase orders.
  • Manage the load board daily.
  • Provide shipping quotes to customers/salespeople.
  • Effectively service accounts to meet or exceed financial and operational goals of the company.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and the ability to work with confidential information and treat it with sensitivity.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Order Processing: Efficiency in processing, documenting, and relaying customer orders. Ability to communicate company policies, shipping dates, pricing, and order details.
  • Recordkeeping: Ability to record and organize company information while complying with recordkeeping procedures and legal requirements.
  • Shipping/Expense Management: Ability to manage shipping processes and expenses efficiently, utilizing reliable, cost-effective methods, resolving issues, and maintaining accurate documentation.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Associate's, Bachelor's or Master's degree in any field with 1 year of customer service experience ~OR~
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent with 3 years of customer service experience
Preferred Experience:
  • Logistics experience
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Rarely lift 50-70lbs
  • Properly wear PPE where required
  • Warehouse environment with fluctuating room temperatures
  • Performs most of the work through computer use and associated equipment, or via phone communication.
