Customer Service Representative

We are looking for a friendly, detail-oriented Counter Sales Representative to join our team at our local plumbing supply store. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping customers find the right plumbing products, offering guidance, and supporting day-to-day store operations. The position offers opportunities to grow product knowledge, improve sales skills, and contribute to a smooth-running retail environment. Strong communication is essential, and bilingual candidates are a plus. Experience with POS systems is helpful, and prior retail or plumbing supply experience is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist customers in selecting plumbing parts, fixtures, and tools, providing product demonstrations as needed
• Process sales transactions using POS systems, including cash handling
• Promote special offers and suggest additional products to meet customer needs
• Maintain store displays and ensure shelves are stocked and organized
• Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, offering solutions, and resolving issues
• Support inventory management through restocking and basic record keeping
• Handle customer phone inquiries professionally
• Assist with supervising team members as needed to support store operations

Qualifications:

• Previous retail or plumbing supply experience preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve a diverse customer base
• Experience with POS systems, cash handling, and basic retail math
• Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and upselling techniques
• Professional attitude and commitment to excellent customer service
• Ability to work independently in assigned areas
• Supervisory experience is a plus but not required
