Customer Service Representative

Remote Opportunity

Location Requirement: Candidates must reside within 60 miles of Austin, TX

Work Authorization: Open to candidates with no visa restrictions

Schedule Requirements - Candidates must be available to work any assigned 8-hour shift between: 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM. Schedule flexibility is required to meet operational needs.

About the Role

We are seeking customer-focused professionals to join a growing support team serving healthcare and community-based programs. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy helping others, resolving issues, and providing exceptional service in a fast-paced contact center environment.

 

As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for handling inbound calls, documenting customer interactions, researching inquiries, and ensuring callers receive timely and accurate assistance. This role offers the opportunity to work remotely while supporting important healthcare-related services.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer inbound customer and provider inquiries professionally and efficiently
  • Research customer concerns and provide accurate resolutions
  • Document all interactions thoroughly and according to quality standards
  • Escalate issues appropriately when additional support is required
  • Transfer calls to specialized departments as needed
  • Maintain confidentiality and compliance with company policies
  • Participate in required training and ongoing development activities
  • Meet established productivity, attendance, and quality expectations
  • Cross-train in additional support areas as business needs require
  • Support team objectives and contribute to a positive customer experience

 

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 months to 1 year of recent customer service experience
  • Previous call center, contact center, customer support, or service-related experience preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service abilities
  • Ability to think critically and solve problems independently
  • Comfortable working in a structured, performance-driven environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn new systems quickly

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting healthcare, insurance, Medicaid, or government-related programs
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms and customer support applications
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products
  • Strong multitasking and time management skills
  • Experience handling high-volume inbound calls
