Job Position: Bilingual Customer Service Representative

Pay Rate: $21.00/hr
Description: A private-sector organization responsible for accurately determining the value of real and business personal property in Travis County is seeking a skilled and dependable Customer Service Representative to join their team. This role is ideal for someone who values stability, enjoys detailed work, and takes pride in delivering accurate, consistent service to the public.
Position Overview
This role blends customer interaction with detailed administrative and data-entry tasks. Half of the workday is data entry;the other half involves assisting customers via phone, email, and in person. Responsibilities shift throughout the year based on the organization s cyclical workflow, so flexibility and adaptability are key. Full training and a practice period are provided before moving into production.
Primary Responsibilities
-Assist customers in person, by phone, and by email
-Respond to information requests, process exemptions, and enter data accurately
-Review and process deed records and legal documents related to property ownership
-Research internal/external resources to update ownership and mailing information
-Print maps and scan documents
-Maintain alphabetic and numeric filing systems
-Perform receptionist duties as needed
-Handle confidential information appropriately
-Operate common office equipment and perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Required:
-High school diploma or equivalent
-2+ years of customer service experience (phone + in-person)
-Accurate data entry skills (approx. 40 WPM typing)
Preferred:
-Bilingual English/Spanish highly preferred
-Knowledge of the Texas Tax Code
-Experience in mortgage lending, property management, or related fields
