The Customer Account Specialist is responsible for directing and managing customer orders from receipt through delivery while providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate is self?motivated, detail?oriented, organized, and takes pride in their work. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, problem?solving abilities, and comfort working on a computer throughout the day in a fast?paced environment.
Position Details:
- Pay: $22-$24
- Hybrid - 3 days a week in office
- Temporary position
Essential Job Duties
- Provide exceptional customer service through timely, accurate, and professional communication
- Proactively communicate order status, delays, and updates to customers
- Manage customer orders from initial receipt through final delivery
- Develop daily load plans and schedule, track, and coordinate all customer loads
- Facilitate problem resolution for orders that do not meet customer expectations
- Process EDI and non?EDI orders, ensuring completeness and accuracy of all required information
- Set up and maintain customer profiles and order data within the ERP system
- Work closely with Sales to understand and execute customer plans and requirements
- Collaborate with production planning and transportation teams across multiple facilities to ensure orders are filled in full and on time
- Learn and utilize multiple customer systems as required
- Create and maintain customer order forms and documentation
- Partner with Accounts Receivable to support billing and payment processes
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong problem?solving abilities with attention to detail
- Highly organized with strong follow?up skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
- Comfortable working on a computer for extended periods
- Ability to manage multiple orders and priorities simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Oracle JD Edwards (preferred but not required)
