The Customer Quality Engineer is responsible for driving customer-facing quality performance across SMT, server assembly, and repair/RMA operations. This role ensures strong alignment between customer requirements, manufacturing execution, and field performance.

Job Details

Additional Responsibilities
Own customer quality communication and corrective action process (8D leadership)
Drive containment, root cause analysis, and verification of corrective actions
Analyze trends in RMAs, assembly defects, and system-level failures
Lead cross-functional RCA efforts with engineering, supplier quality, and repair teams
Provide direct customer updates, technical explanations, and action plans
Ensure adherence to customer requirements, SLAs, and quality standards
Support NPI quality readiness and validation of acceptance criteria
Participate in internal and external audits (ISO 9001 / customer-specific audits)

Qualifications
3–6 years in customer quality, manufacturing quality, or repair operations
Strong understanding of IPC-A-610 and failure analysis methodologies
Experience with 8D, 5-Why, and structured root cause tools
Strong communication skills and ability to manage customer-facing issue resolution
Basic understanding of SMT, PCBA, and server assembly processes
