About the Role
Harvest Christian Fellowship is seeking a reliable and hardworking Custodian I to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our congregation, staff, and guests. As part of our Facilities team, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the ministry by ensuring that all areas of the church campus are well-maintained and ready for worship services, events, and daily operations. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work and serves with a heart aligned with Christian values.
What You'll Do
Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing restrooms and common areas.
Set up and break down rooms for church services, meetings, and special events.
Maintain cleanliness of outdoor areas including walkways, entrances, and parking lots.
Monitor and restock cleaning supplies and restroom products.
Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to the Facilities Manager.
Assist with minor repairs and upkeep of church property.
Ensure all areas are secure and locked after use.
Support other departments with custodial needs as requested.
Represent Harvest Christian Fellowship with professionalism and a servant’s heart.
Qualifications
Previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for long periods, and performing repetitive tasks.
Flexible schedule, including availability for evenings, weekends, and special events.
