The custodian will be performing a variety of custodial duties for restaurants to maintaining a clean dining environment for customers. Such duties shall be in accordance with established standards, instructions, and procedures of Haidilao.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift, carry, deliver and/or serve items weighing up to 20-40 pounds throughout the entire shift(6-8hours)
Ability to stand and walk continually throughout the entire shift(6-8hours)
Ability to bend, stoop and reach for products and items
Ability to work to various temperature environment, for example low temperature in the refrigerator and high temperature in the cooking area
Ability to clean and maintain station in practicing good safety and sanitation
Ability to work in loud areas, for example, the music for special performance and/or loud noise from the dishwasher machine
Ability to attend work as scheduled, working various schedules and shifts throughout normal business hours
Education & Qualifications:
High school diploma, or equivalent work experience.
California Food Handler Certificate
Fluent in English / Preferred languages: Mandarin and Spanish
Responsibilities:
Maintain the cleanliness of the entire restaurant at all time, including the common areas, the restrooms, and waiting areas
Responsible for the management of the sauce bar
Make sure the sauce and dishes at the sauce bar section is replenished on time
Maintain the cleaning equipment to avoid waste and unnecessary expenses
Display welcome manner when meeting customers’ reasonable request
Report any lost item to the manager immediately after found
Deal with any ad-hoc incidents instantly and adequately, such as vomiting or the broken tableware, etc
Follow safety procedures and policy strictly
Assist colleagues actively and ensure customer satisfaction
Performs other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
Thrive in a fast-paced environment with a focus on teamwork
Previous janitorial experience is preferred
Good attitude and professionalism are a must
Obtain the California Food Handler Certificate
