JOB TITLE: Custodian – Child Care Center

As part of our facilities team, you'll take pride in maintaining classrooms, offices, and common areas so children can learn and play in a healthy environment. No two days are exactly the same, and your work directly supports our teachers, staff, and the families we serve.
Position:Part-time
What You'll Do
- Keep classrooms, restrooms, offices, and hallways clean and sanitized
- Sweep, mop, strip, buff, and wax floors; vacuum and shampoo carpets
- Set up classroom furniture and maintain restroom supplies
- Collect and dispose of trash and recycling
- Operate standard custodial equipment safely (vacuums, shampoo machines, water extractors)
- Patrol grounds and walkways, picking up litter and debris
- Follow all safety practices and confidentiality policies regarding students and staff
- Perform other duties as assigned
What You Need
- High school diploma or GED
- 1+ year of custodial or similar work experience
- Ability to lift and move 50+ lbs
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Comfort and sensitivity working around children and families
- Strong time management, organization, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Must pass background check (DOJ, FBI, CACI
Nice to Have
- Experience with commercial cleaning products and chemical/cleaning supply knowledge
