About the Role

Reporting to the Facilities & Maintenance Manager, the Custodian is pivotal in upholding the organizations commitment to operational excellence. This role ensures the property is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, functionality, and safety, fostering a welcoming and well-maintained environment for all employees. By promoting a culture of safety, efficiency, and organizational pride, the Custodian supports the companys mission to create a safe and productive workplace, overseeing the upkeep of both indoor and outdoor spaces.

How You'll Make a Difference

• Ensure compliance with PPE and COVID cleaning protocols, maintaining stock levels of items such as hairnets, masks, gloves, lab coats, and other protective gear.
• Perform routine cleaning tasks, including:
• Cleaning and disinfecting floors, restrooms, lunchrooms, and common areas.
• Emptying trash and recycling bins.
• Dusting and sanitizing surfaces, doorknobs, and high-touch areas.
• Cleaning windows and maintaining clear visibility.
• Refill and maintain functionality of paper, soap, and sanitizer dispensers across the facility.
• Collaborate with the Inventory Specialist to manage and restock janitorial supplies and chemicals, ensuring consistent inventory availability.
• Operate and maintain commercial cleaning equipment, including vacuums, floor buffers, and carpet cleaners.
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance for all office and lobby spaces.

Who You Are

• At least 1 year of custodial or janitorial experience, preferably in a warehouse or industrial setting.
• Familiarity with cleaning products, equipment, and safety protocols.
• Positive attitude and a commitment to fostering a collaborative and safe workplace.
• Strong organizational skills and time-management abilities.
• Capacity to follow detailed instructions and established processes.
• Ability to multitask effectively and work independently with minimal supervision.
