Position Title: Custodial Worker
Brief Description: Complete daily cleaning of classrooms, offices, and bathrooms. Dust mopping, wet mopping, garbage and recyclables removal, dusting, stripping, and waxing floors, and routine cleaning responsibilities as directed by the immediate supervisor. Prepare set ups for school events. Ability to complete tasks independently.

Required Qualifications:

Must be eligible for appointment as a Custodial Worker by Civil Service
Civil Service Requirements:
Working knowledge of materials and equipment used in the cleaning of buildings, including solvents and other chemicals. Ability to operate a variety of equipment relative to cleaning activities, including dry and wet vacuums, carpet cleaners, and floor strippers. Ability to read labels and instructions relative to the safe use of chemicals and cleaning materials and equipment. Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions. Ability to effectively work with and serve a diverse local community. Physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position.

Salary Range: $17.51 per hour, in accordance with Collective Bargaining Agreement
