Position Description Advertised Job Summary Custodial Worker Do you love knowing your work makes a difference at USC? Do you love something new every day you go to work? Look no further. The Custodial Worker is a full-time staff member of University Housing who is responsible for the quality of living in a designated residence halls at the University of South Carolina.

Primary duties:

  • Maintains wood, ceramic, tile, cement, brick, and linoleum floors.
  • Responds to emergencies, including extracting water from floors and carpeted areas during flooding to prevent water damage.
  • Assists with the preparation for and clean-up of University special events.
  • Applies total quality management and continuous improvement principles and processes.

This position is designated as essential personnel during inclement, hazardous weather and other emergencies.
