Custodial Worker 

SUNY Broome Community College is seeking qualified candidates for a full-time 
Custodial Worker to join our first shift team. This position is scheduled Monday through 
Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. 

Custodial Workers are responsible for cleaning campus buildings, maintaining grounds 
(including snow and ice removal), performing custodial-related tasks, and assisting with 
minor maintenance as needed. 

Requirements: 
• Knowledge and skill in the safe and proper use of cleaning equipment, maintenance tools, chemicals, disinfecting methods, waste handling, grounds maintenance equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE). 
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting heavy objects, bending, climbing, reaching, repetitive motions, and other related duties as assigned. 
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without a visa sponsorship.

• The hourly rate for this position is $17.16.

• Offers of employment will be conditional based upon the results of a satisfactory, required pre-employment Standard Background Check.
