Position at SBM Management

SBM Management is searching for an Equipment Tech Supervisor to join our team! The Equipment Technician Supervisor will be responsible for the assignment and direct supervision of Equipment Technician employees in maintaining the cleanliness and disinfection of medical equipment. The supervisor will inspect equipment and working conditions to ensure compliance with disinfection and regulations. 
Responsibilities:
  • Must be able to perform all duties and assignments of the Equipment Technician  
  • Coordinate and supervise the activities of employees in the Disinfect and Delivery program 
  • Develop working schedule for Technicians  
  • Coordinate Technicians activity  
  • Redirect Technicians if urgency arises 
  • Monitor hours worked, punctuality and attendance of Technicians 
  • Support employment related responsibilities including onboarding, new hire training, coaching to meet Service Level Agreements, performance management, attendance management, upskill training, and escalation resolution 
  • Be trained on cleaning advanced medical equipment for support of Technicians 
  • Improve order response time 
  • Answer phone and fulfil phone requests as needed 
  • Ensure consistent communication among Technicians 
  • Communicate with stakeholders 
  • Perform spot checks throughout the shift 
  • Escalate Clinical concerns to Manager  
  • Reporting to customer as required 
  • Ensure training of new employees in tasks, safety, policies, and procedures 
  • Identify and escalate overtime needs 
  • Ensure that services meet the needs of the site 
  • Ensure personnel have the equipment and supplies necessary to perform their job 
  • Issues supplies to equipment technicians as needed 
  • Conduct regular quality, service, and safety inspections of assigned areas and report the results of the inspections with particular emphasis on needed repairs 
  • Ensure specified contract services are provided by the contractor by inspecting the work performed 
  • Advise the immediate supervisor when shortcomings or other deficiencies of work are noted 
  • Report employee personnel and customer issues to supervisor 
  • Report accidents and incidents to the supervisor immediately 
  • Carry out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws 
  • Assign and direct work 
  • Ensure each team member works in conformance with SBM and GE policies and procedures 
  • Ensure operational excellence through training, coaching, disciplining, and encouragement of team members 
  • Address complaints and resolve problems 
  • Ensure employees are properly trained on tasks and safety requirements 
  • Monitor employees for proper use of personal protective equipment, and supplies 
  • Provide recommendations for corrective action on areas that need improvement 
  • Review and maintain employee’s records such as attendance and metric data 
  • Correct at risk behavior then reports to the supervisor immediately 
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED 
  • May be required to have a valid driver’s license. 
  • Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 
  • Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment and willing to share with team 
  • Knowledge of the upkeep and care of the cleaning equipment 
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, and their safe, efficient use 
Compensation: $50,000 - $55,000 per year            
Shift: Full time
