The Custodial Services Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and directing custodial employees in maintaining the cleanliness of buildings offices classrooms fitness centers laboratories furnishings and equipment as well as building entrances and exterior walkways.

The Custodial Supervisor is also responsible for training new employees in proper custodial procedures for the use of manually operated tools equipment and cleaning supplies.

Inspects custodial equipment in assigned area after each use and report problems by the end of that days shift to Custodial Services Assistant Manager and note in daily log.

Daily progress inspection of all special project assignments by the end of shift and note in daily log.

Required to perform daily quality assurance inspections in the assigned areas of their employees.

Denotes and resolves any cleaning issues within 24 hours and applies measures to prevent cleaning deficiencies from occurring.

Monitors and interprets union contract.

Initiates letters of reprimand and makes formal recommendations for disciplinary action.

Responds to formal and informal employee grievances and prepares written responses.

Documents performance provides performance feedback and formally evaluates the work of the employee provides reward and recognition for proper and efficient performance.

Required daily to verify the assignment is for special event set-upsbreakdowns and to verify that the venues are clean and ready for use.

Informs staff of relevant business issues and their impact on the organization.
