Summary of Position:
This position serves a dual role within the Men's Transitional Living Program and Kewa Family Wellness Center services. As a Senior Community Support Worker and Shift Lead, the employee supports daily program operations, staff coordination, resident supervision, and the delivery of structured, recovery-oriented services. As a Cultural Liaison / Mentor, the employee promotes cultural identity, resilience, and connection by integrating Santo Domingo Pueblo values, traditions, language, and teachings into programming and service delivery. This role helps strengthen the cultural, emotional, and behavioral well-being of community members served through Kewa Family Wellness Center. The position provides cultural mentorship to residents and clients, supports staff in delivering culturally responsive services, and helps ensure traditional knowledge and community values are appropriately reflected across programs. This may include teaching cultural practices, supporting traditional foodways education, mentoring through cultural values and teachings, and integrating traditional understandings of the relationship between people, animals, and the land, including support for equine-related programming where appropriate. This position supports the mission of Kewa Family Wellness Center across programs including the Men's Transitional Living Program, Behavioral Health Services, Kewa House Emergency Youth Shelter, Domestic Violence Shelter, and Prevention Program.
