Hours:
8 Hours/Day, 180 days per year/stretch calendar
Salary:
Starting rate $33.91 per hour
- Based on experience and education
Education:
- Two years post-secondary education
- 5 years experience
- B.A. Degree preferred
Responsibilities:
- Experience working with early childhood students and families
- Must be culturally competent
- Must be fluent in English and Somali (both written and verbal)
- Must have experience with conflict resolution, restorative justice, mentoring and supporting student needs
- Must have experience with special education terminology
- Must be professional and possess a flexible attitude to build and sustain lasting relationships with families and students
- Working with large, diverse population
- Ensuring appropriate communication with the school community
- Assist families, students, and staff in creating a diverse and successful community
- Ensure positive family partnership
- Provide a positive learning environment for all students and families
