The Jamestown Salish Seasons Evaluation & Treatment Facility is seeking a Culinary Wellness Manager/Chef to lead all food service operations within our 16-bed residential treatment program. This is a unique, mission-driven opportunity for someone passionate about food, nutrition, and the powerful role they play in healing and recovery. In a low-volume, high-impact setting, you’ll help shape a wellness-focused kitchen where every meal supports recovery, dignity, and cultural respect. Position Overview

This leader is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing the facility’s dietary program, including daily preparation of three meals and two snacks for residents. The Culinary Wellness Manager/Chef develops menus, oversees meal planning, and ensures all dietary needs and restrictions are met while maintaining consistency, quality, and safety. The role supports a healing environment through fresh ingredients, balanced nutrition, and respectful dining practices aligned with the mission and values of the Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe and Jamestown HealthCARE.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all kitchen and food service operations within the residential treatment facility
  • Develop and maintain a dietary program centered on nutrition, wellness, and recovery
  • Plan menus and ensure meals meet nutritional standards and individual dietary needs
  • Oversee preparation of three meals and two snacks daily with consistency and quality standards
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations
  • Maintain proper food storage, handling, and kitchen cleanliness standards
  • Manage kitchen budget, food purchasing, and cost control
  • Coordinate vendor relationships and manage inventory
  • Supervise, train, schedule, and support kitchen staff
  • Participate in recruitment, onboarding, cross-training, and performance management
  • Collaborate with clinical and program staff on resident dietary needs
  • Promote nutrition education and wellness-focused eating practices
  • Foster a respectful, culturally responsive dining environment
  • Support overall kitchen operations and assist as needed


Schedule & Hiring Timeline

  • Full-time, 40 hours per week
  • 4x10 schedule
  • Must be flexible to provide cook coverage as needed
  • Interviews begin June 2026
  • Expected start date: early July 2026


Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Food Handler’s Card or equivalent certification
  • 5+ years of food service, culinary operations, or kitchen management experience
  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience required
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen operations
  • Experience with inventory management, procurement, and cost control
  • Ability to manage food service in a residential, healthcare, or institutional setting
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and culturally respectful practices
  • Professionalism, confidentiality, and ability to work independently
  • Valid driver’s license with ability to travel locally and regionally


Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in culinary arts, nutrition, hospitality management, or related field
  • Experience supporting nutrition-focused meal programs in healthcare or residential settings
  • Registered Dietitian credential
  • Experience working with Tribal communities strongly preferred
