Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to support our Career and Technical Education (CTE) program at Lincoln High School. The CTE Paraprofessional will work closely with teachers and students to facilitate a dynamic learning environment, assist with instructional activities, and promote student engagement in various vocational and technical subjects. This full-time position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' educational experiences and career readiness.
Responsibilities
Assist CTE teachers in the preparation and delivery of instructional materials and lesson plans.
Support students in hands-on learning activities, ensuring a safe and productive environment.
Provide individualized and small group instruction to reinforce skills and concepts.
Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers regarding student performance and behavior.
Help maintain a well-organized classroom and assist with the management of classroom resources and equipment.
Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement strategies to support diverse learners.
Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge related to CTE education.
Assist in the administration of assessments and maintain accurate records of student progress.
Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and staff to promote a supportive educational environment.
Attend staff meetings and contribute to the overall goals of the CTE program and school community.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience working with students in an educational setting, particularly in CTE or vocational programs, is highly desirable.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, staff, and parents.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently as needed.
Proficient in the use of technology and educational software relevant to CTE instruction.
Knowledge of various career and technical education pathways and industry standards is a plus.
Patience, compassion, and a genuine interest in supporting student success and engagement.
Must pass background checks and any other requirements as mandated by the school district.
Ability to lift and move educational materials and equipment as necessary.
