SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
The CTE Fellowship Coordinator will lead the implementation, coordination, and continuous improvement of the IU Health Fellowship program at Crispus Attucks High School. This role serves as the primary point of contact between IPS and IU Health, ensuring a high-quality student experience that integrates career exploration, skill development, and real-world work-based learning aligned to the Health Sciences pathway. This position will also support the expansion of fellowship programs across all district-managed high schools.
Working in close collaboration with the Career Academy Coordinator, school leadership, and district Postsecondary Readiness (PSR) team, the Coordinator will provide direct support to student fellows, monitor progress toward program requirements, and ensure alignment with pathway coursework, dual credit opportunities, and work-based learning expectations.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Fellowship Program Management & Student Support
Serve as the IPS point of contact for the IU Health Fellowship program at Crispus Attucks High School
Meet with other district-managed school leaders to explore the expansion of additional fellowship opportunities as part of their program offerings
Provide ongoing coaching, advising, and support to students accepted into the fellowship
Monitor student progress toward program completion, including academic, technical, and employability skill development
Ensure fellows remain on track with individualized goals, training plans, and program expectations
Support students in developing job-readiness skills and navigating workplace expectations
Program Coordination & Experience Design
Design and manage the annual fellowship calendar, including key milestones, deadlines, and student experiences
Coordinate off-site field trips, clinical or workplace experiences, and afterschool programming
Facilitate student onboarding, orientation sessions, and ongoing training opportunities
Coordinate logistics including transportation, scheduling, and communication with families and stakeholders
Maintain accurate records of student participation, credentials, dual credit, and required documentation
Partnership Management & Collaboration
Build and maintain a strong partnership with IU Health and other relevant partners
Coordinate regular communication and feedback cycles with employer partners
Facilitate site visits, supervisor check-ins, and performance feedback sessions
Represent IPS on Health Sciences Advisory Boards and partnership meetings
Collaborate with district and community partners to expand opportunities for fellows
School & District Alignment
Meet at least weekly with the Career Academy Coordinator to ensure alignment with Health Sciences pathway requirements
Collaborate with counselors, Future Centers, and student support teams to provide wraparound supports
Ensure fellowship experiences align with CTE standards, work-based learning expectations, and diploma seal requirements
Support recruitment, application, and selection processes for new fellowship cohorts
Data Tracking, Reporting & Continuous Improvement
Develop and maintain systems for tracking student participation, progress, and outcomes
Monitor data related to attendance, performance, credential attainment, and completion
Provide bi-weekly updates to school leadership on:
Student progress
Upcoming events and key milestones
Program implementation status
Generate reports for internal and external stakeholders to inform program improvement
Sustainability & Program Growth
Support program recruitment, marketing, and student outreach efforts
Assist with identifying resources, materials, and supports needed for program implementation
Contribute to continuous improvement efforts aligned to district CTE and work-based learning goals
"DAY IN THE LIFE" OVERVIEW:
On a typical day, the CTE Fellowship Coordinator may:
Meet with student fellows to review goals, progress, and upcoming experiences
Coordinate with IU Health partners on student placements or upcoming activities
Plan logistics for an upcoming field experience or afterschool session
Review student data and prepare updates for school leadership
Collaborate with the Career Academy Coordinator to align coursework and fellowship expectations

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree required (Education, Public Health, Human Services, or related field preferred)
Minimum of 2 years of experience in program coordination, education, workforce development, or related field
Experience working with external partners or managing partnerships strongly preferred
Experience supporting high school students or youth programming preferred
Familiarity with work-based learning, CTE pathways, or healthcare careers is a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data management systems (i.e. PowerSchool, Xello, INTERS)

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None.
