Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and adaptable CT/X-Ray Technologist to join a fast-paced acute care hospital environment. This role is responsible for performing both CT and diagnostic X-ray imaging procedures while ensuring high-quality patient care, safety, and accurate imaging results. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently during overnight weekend shifts and capable of supporting a variety of imaging needs within the hospital setting.
Responsibilities:
- Perform CT and diagnostic X-ray procedures for inpatient and emergency department patients
- Prepare and position patients appropriately for imaging examinations
- Operate CT and radiographic imaging equipment safely and efficiently
- Ensure high-quality diagnostic images while maintaining radiation safety standards
- Monitor patient condition and provide compassionate patient care throughout imaging procedures
- Verify physician orders, patient identification, and imaging protocols prior to exams
- Accurately document procedures and patient information within the EPIC electronic medical record system
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Maintain imaging equipment cleanliness, functionality, and readiness for use
- Adhere to infection control, patient safety, and departmental policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Previous CT Technologist experience required
- Experience performing both CT and X-ray procedures required
- First-time travelers accepted
- Ability to work independently during overnight shifts required
- Strong communication, organizational, and patient care skills required
Required Certifications & Licensure:
- Current ARRT Certification required
- Oregon state licensure required if applicable
- Current BLS Certification preferred
Schedule & Additional Information:
- Weekend overnight schedule required
- No on-call responsibilities
- No floating between units required
- 1:1 patient ratio environment
- 48-hour schedules not approved
