Pay Rate Range: $68 per hour - $73 per hour
Monday-Friday 12am-8am. OVERNIGHT
Responsibilities:
- Utilize appropriate kV and mA techniques to ensure quality diagnostic CT images.
- Perform daily quality control calibration checks on all equipment to ensure proper functioning before any patient study is performed.
- Inject patients with radioactive material as per the physician’s order following the prescribed protocol.
- Observe all department documentation policies by filling in all appropriate logs, manuals, charge documents, and report equipment problems to comply with regulatory agencies.
- Perform quality control, quality assurance, and safety tests. Follow radiation safety guidelines to comply with the ALARA principle.
- Maintain, develop, and retrieve patient films and electronic data for Radiologist interpretation.
- Order patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses one day prior to use.
- Receive radiopharmaceuticals on the day of delivery and verify proper receipt as per policy and procedure. Verify activity level of the dose prior to administration.
Requirements:
- CT Certified – Injection certified.
- May require x-ray work when working overnight (midnight-8am).
Preferred Skills:
- Perform CT procedures according to the prescribed protocols to ensure uniformity and accuracy.
- Exercise appropriate judgment to assess and respond to patient’s needs prior to, during, and after visits in the Radiology department.
