Pay Rate: $60/hr to $70/hr
Shift: Saturday & Sunday 8a-12a
Responsibilities:
- Utilize appropriate kV and mA techniques to ensure quality diagnostic CT images.
- Perform daily quality control calibration checks on all equipment to ensure proper functioning before patient studies.
- Administer radioactive material injections as per physician’s order following prescribed protocols.
- Comply with department documentation policies, including filling in logs, manuals, charge documents, and reporting equipment issues.
- Conduct quality control, quality assurance, and safety tests, adhering to radiation safety guidelines to comply with the ALARA principle.
- Maintain, develop, and retrieve patient films and electronic data for Radiologist interpretation.
- Order patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses one day prior to use.
- Receive radiopharmaceuticals on delivery day and verify proper receipt and activity level before administration.
Requirements:
- Licensing with NYS DOH in Radiologic Technologist.
- ARRT certification in Radiography and CT.
- BLS certification.
- At least 1 year of CT experience.
- Graduate of Radiologic Technologist program.
- New York State License (L.R.T).
Preferred Skills:
- Perform CT procedures according to prescribed protocols to ensure uniformity and accuracy.
- Exercise appropriate judgment to assess and respond to patient’s needs before, during, and after visits in the Radiology department.
