CT Technologist - Contract

2 days to 1 week departmental orientation days (as needed, to include weekdays even if position granted is a weekend). Required License National Certification, Certs (BLS, ACLS, etc.), or other position specific requirements such as Driver's License and/or Insurance: ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology with advanced registry in CT.

CT Technologist

About Facility:

• Total licensed beds are 373 (344 Acute & 29 Inpatient Rehab)
• ED = 30 beds
• ICU = 46 beds
• PCU = 40 beds
• Observation = 70 beds
• OR Suites = 14
• No trauma designation
• We offer X-ray, CT, Ultrasound, MRI, Interventional Radiology, and Nuclear Medicine, with Radiology Nursing support.
• TJC Stroke accredited
• Radius rule: Traveler s permanent address must be 50 miles outside of home unit

Department Information:

• Average Inpatient Census is around 400
• Average 160 studies per weekday, 120 studies on weekends

 Minimum Years of Experience required?

• 2 years
• Will you accept a first-time traveler? yes

Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:

• ED, Inpatient units, Observation units, and Outpatient
• Department will provide CT guided invasive procedures.
• Department performs cases with Anesthesia as needed
• Department will perform Cardiac CT imaging on day shift, 7 days/week.

Required License

• ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology with advanced registry in CT.
• BLS

Skills required:

• Start peripheral IV s
• Venous and arterial phase scanning
• Multi-phase scanning
• Stroke imaging, to include Perfusion
• Colorectal studies
• TeraRecon knowledge preferred, not required

Support within the Department:

• Guest Services/Trasport for Inpatient & Obs patients

Technology/Equipment:

• EMR: EPIC
• RIS: Epic Radiant
• PACS: Philips iSite
• Department specific Equipment:
• 3 CT scanners (Siemens Definition – AS 40, Siemens Force, Siemens Edge)
• Bayer/Medrad Power Injectors
