The CT Technologist performs a variety of imaging procedures, including Computed Tomography procedures, and is responsible for safety protocols. Functions as the first line interface with patients. Participates in CQI activities.
What you will do in this role:
Responsible for the care and safety of patients undergoing treatment and use of equipment to minimize hazards of electric shock, burns and extraneous radiation to patients.
Determines the most suitable anatomical posture and positions and shields patients accordingly.
Practices medical and surgical aseptic procedures.
Works under the direction of the Radiologist at all times.
Takes x-ray, CT call according to monthly schedule after the closing of regular department hours.
Competent in the use of CR and PACS.
