Job Duties
The CT Surgery Coordinator will play an integral role in the coordination and conduct of day-to-day CT surgery program activities under the direction of the Director of Cardiovascular Services, the Cath Lab Medical Director, and in collaboration with the CT Surgery Program Director. Must be able to establish priorities and a course of action for managing several activities at once while observing deadlines, and to function and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary team members, including participation in performance improvement based on evidence based practice and registry results with national benchmarks. Must be able to perform clinical assessment of patients, evaluate lab results, form plan of care for clinical feedback to patient, all under the supervision of the physician.
Responsibilities:Essential Functions
• Coordination of patient evaluation and screening processes. Involvement in patient and family education and consent. Patient tracking in triage.
• Education of staff members as indicated. Assistance in training of new CT surgery program team members as
appropriate
• Contact with referring providers. Registry and reimbursement reporting. Oversight of valve clinic schedule and processes
• Receipt and review of pertinent clinical records. Coordination of record review with other team members
• Data collection; Gather Patient History, order tests, obtain all clinical information and additional testing to determine patient clinical status, qualifications. Manage clinical problems, pre, intra dn post procedural as well as follow up clinical issues.
• Provide an assessment of the financial, medical and social resources of current and potential CT surgery program
patients in conjunction with the TAVR team
• Coordination of inter-departmental processes and communication. Pre procedure management and Post
procedure follow-up
• Interaction with sponsors, data coordinating centers, core laboratory personnel and referring physicians as needed
• Coordination of CT surgery program team meetings/communication processes
• Maintenance of patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications:Experience Requirements
3-5 years clinical experience in Cardiology preferred or advanced practice licensure CCU,
CVICU, MICU, ER SICU required
3 years Clinical experience in Cardiology preferred or advanced practice licensure CCU or
CVICU preferred
1 year Must be proficient with Microsoft Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Data management,
clinical analysis, process improvement and registry reporting required
Education Requirements
High School Diploma or GED required
Bachelors Nursing required
Certificate/Licensure Physician Assistant License required or at time of hire
Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner License required at time of hire
Registered Nurse (RN) - Florida Licensure required at time of hire
Basic Life Support (BLS) required at time of hire
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required at time of hire
