Job Summary
The CSS Marketing and Communications Office Assistant is an exciting opportunity for students hoping to gain experience in a high-impact office with a desire to contribute to meaningful projects that shape the future of CSS initiatives. This role provides hands-on experience in communications, content development, cross campus collaboration, and administrative assistance. Ideal candidates will have familiarity with the Center for Student Success (CSS) initiatives, comfortability in meeting and collaborating with new people, and a basic understanding of Canva, Instagram, and other social media and design platforms.
A CSS Marketing and Communications Office Assistant helps staff the front desk of the CSS office, guides visitors to their appointments, answers phone calls, creates flyers, supports the upkeep of social media platforms, assists with marketing projects, tables for events, and performs general office duties.

Responsibilities
The CSS Marketing and Communications Office Assistant position is housed within the Center for Student Success and entails 6-8 hours of work per week. Most shifts will consist of front desk coverage, administrative assistance, development and implementation of external social media communications, and assistance with CSS special projects. Duties include but are not limited to:
Information gathering:
Research best practices and innovative ideas
Engage with students to solicit feedback on CSS initiatives and ideas
Operations:
Support with administrative tasks
Serve as first point of contact at the front desk (checking in student appointments, lunch coverage etc.)
Connect students to CSS professional and student staff as needed
Communications:
Collaborate with CSS staff to assist in communications content creation
Assist with delivery of social media content (e.g., generating ideas, conducting interviews)
Create and distribute marketing materials and flyers
Represent CSS as needed:
Table on behalf of CSS at planned locations or resource fairs
Gather and pick up supplies and return to proper areas
Special projects:
Prepare materials and supplies for CSS events
