Job Title: CSOC Security Engineer 863
Location: Downey, CA 90242 (Remote)
Shift: 2:00 AM - 11:00 AM
Assignment type: Temporary (12 months w/ high chance of extension or hire)
Pay rate: $60-$65/hour
Responsibilities:- Lead security engineering for complex, product-based systems
- Bridge security across development and operations teams
- Perform audits, risk analysis, vulnerability testing, and code reviews
- Develop solutions to mitigate security risks and vulnerabilities
- Research and identify new cyber attack vectors
- Promote secure system design and user data privacy
Qualifications:- 10+ years of experience in security engineering & vulnerability mitigation
- Strong background in protecting sensitive data from cyber threats
- Bachelors degree in IT, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience with white-hat hacking and core computer science concepts
- Willing to work graveyard shift and weekends
Additional Skills and Experience:- SecureWorks alert triage (2+ years, recent)
- CrowdStrike alert/event triage (2+ years, recent)
- Elastic security alert triage (2+ years, recent)
- Cribl administration/operations (1+ year, recent)
- Microsoft Defender (or similar) for phishing & high-risk user investigations (1+ year)
