Community Schools Athletic And Enrichment Coordinator
Pay Range: $29.41 - $31.22 per hour, DOE FTE: 1.0 40 hours per week Schedule: TBD (varies) 12 months per year, 261 work days Classified Exempt, Benefits Eligible Location: All School Sites Target Start Date: 04/22/2026
Under the general direction of the Director of Community Schools, the CS Athletics and Enrichment Coordinator is responsible for developing, planning, and coordinating district-wide K8 intramural and interscholastic athletics programs. as well as Community Schools sports camps. This role involves managing out-of-school-time athletic and enrichment opportunities and performing duties of moderate complexity to support student engagement and program success.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, promote, and supervise Community Schools programming, including K-8 athletic offerings, Sports Camps, Middle School Enrichment/late start and summer programming, to ensure continuous quality improvement, alignment with CFSD community needs, and fiscal responsibility.
- Recruit, hire, manage, develop, supervise, and evaluate Community Schools staff within the scope of responsibility; foster engagement and collaboration among school personnel in both existing and new programs.
- Attend Northwest League meetings, advocating for CFSD member schools and contributing to discussions on league-related matters.
- Oversee and manage program budgets within the scope of responsibility: revenue, staffing, supplies, equipment, etcto support effective program development and delivery.
- Contribute to the development and execution of the department's marketing and communications strategy across print, digital, and social media platforms to effectively reach target audiences.
- Build and sustain partnerships with community stakeholders to support and enhance programming initiatives.
- Monitor and enforce student-athlete attendance and eligibility requirements, as applicable.
- Develop, implement and refine K-8 Community Schools sportsmanship program for student-athletes and parents
- Regularly attend and support programs and events within the scope of responsibility, as well as those assigned.
- Attend and facilitate CS meetings as appropriate and/or as directed.
- Monitor athletic grounds and communicate needs for the regular maintenance/repair/improvement of athletic facilities and/or equipment.

Knowledges, Skills and Other Characteristics:
- Knowledge of athletic philosophy for middle level Interscholastic athletic program design.
- Knowledge of athletic philosophy for K-8 Intramural athletic program design.
- Knowledge of CFSD policies and procedures regarding student eligibility and registration.
- Knowledge of recruiting, training, evaluating and retaining coaches.
- Skill in establishing and maintaining positive effective working relationships with supervisors, staff, administrators, students, parents and spectators/public.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience coaching, developing, implementing and administering athletic and/or k-12 enrichment programming, preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in athletic administration, child/human development, education, recreation, or related field, preferred.
Special Requirements:
- Must possess or have the ability to obtain a Level I - IVPP Fingerprint Clearance card through Arizona Department of Public Safety.
- Valid Arizona driver's license and clear driving record
