Chappell Elementary School is an International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP) School. The IB Primary Years Programme is a building wide program that provides additional rigor and increased collaboration with colleagues. Anyone interested in joining the Chappell team must be willing to receive IB training and participate in weekly lesson planning and collaborative planning sessions with the Literacy Coach, PYP Coordinator, Principal and IB Consultants.
Chappell is also a Title 1 School-wide program with approximately 73% of the student population receiving free/reduced lunch. As a School wide site, Chappell has specific goals relating to Literacy, Math and Technology. The Title 1 plan calls for increased parent participation and communication.
