Coordinate the activities of nurse anesthetists engaged in administering anesthetics to patients during surgical procedures, including personnel and fiscal activities. Administer anesthetics to render patients insensible to pain during surgical, obstetrical and other medical procedures.
1) Maintain all duties and responsibilities of staff CRNA 2) Represent and assist CRNA's with clinical practice problem solving 3)Give individual attention and encouragement to each team member to reach individual goals 4) Report back to Chief CRNA any issues or occurrences on team 5) Monitors and evaluates individual performance through PPS on a biannual basis 6) Collaborates and problem solves with all other managers 7) Coordination of Staffing and room assignments for CRNA's on a daily basis 8) Participates in all managerial meetings concerning OR happenings 9) facilitates open communication with CRNA issues 10) voice issues to chief about concerns of CRNA's 11) Collaborate with different departments and specialties to resolve issues and improve work flow processes throughout the department 12) Mentor preceptors within each service for all new employees 13) Provide clinical/educational updates to entire staff on a regular basis

Master's degree from a school of nurse anesthesia approved by the State Accrediting Agency and the Council on Accreditation of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) required.
Two years experience as a Nurse Anesthetist required.
Must have current or compact RN licensure in the state of North Carolina. BLS required. Certificationby the AANA as a certified Nurse Anesthetist is required.
