Academic Background, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Anesthesiology, Basic Life Support (BLS), Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA), Cross-Functional, Electronic Medical Records, Endoscopy, Epic Systems, Hospital, Medical Treatment, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Outpatient Care, Patient Care, Pediatrics
Schedule consists of (4) 10-hour shifts or (3) 12-13 hour shifts per week, plus 1 rotating Saturday each month; no call required
Weekly availability required; preference given to providers who do not rotate weeks on/weeks off
Weekend availability (Saturdays and Sundays) preferred
All time off requests must be submitted upfront and approved prior to acceptance; time off requests exceeding 5 consecutive days will not be approved during Summer months
Must live more than 50 miles from the facility
Patient population ranges from age 13 through end of life
Level 1 trauma center with a large anesthesia team including CRNAs, attending anesthesiologists, and anesthesia residents
Anesthesia team covers multiple operating rooms across main OR, offsite anesthesia locations, outpatient surgery ORs, and GI center rooms
Practice settings include inpatient and outpatient; locations include main OR, outpatient surgery center, and endoscopy center
EMR system: Epic (preferred experience)
Hospital bed size: 600
All CRNA scopes of practice required; cases will NOT include open heart/thoracic, pediatrics, obstetrics, or performing peripheral nerve blocks
Minimum 2 years of experience required; academic background and Level 1 or 2 trauma experience preferred; recent inpatient experience preferred though outpatient-only candidates will be considered
Virginia state license required
Board certification required
ACLS and BLS certifications must be valid and completed through the AHA
2 professional references or reference contact information required at time of submittal
If provider has any prior affiliation, education, or work history with UVA, this must be noted in the presentation
