The Role: Critical Infrastructure Security Officer
This is not a traditional contract security position.
As a Critical Infrastructure Security Officer, you will be responsible for protecting one of the most advanced and secure data center environments in the world. You will operate in a controlled, mission-critical setting where your awareness, judgment, and professionalism directly impact safety, uptime, and customer trust.
You’ll be part of a professional, in-house team focused on maintaining a secure environment for critical digital infrastructure.
This position is classified as safety-sensitive due to its responsibility for protecting people, property, and essential operations.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct proactive patrols of a high-security, mission-critical environment to detect and deter potential threats
- Monitor and interpret surveillance and access control systems, identifying anomalies and responding appropriately
- Control and verify access to secure areas in accordance with strict protocols and procedures
- Respond to security and safety incidents, assess risk, and coordinate with internal teams and emergency responders
- Maintain accurate and detailed incident reports, logs, and documentation
- Provide secure escorts for employees, vendors, and visitors within controlled areas
- Support site operations during emergencies, alarms, or elevated security situations
- Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, customers, and public safety personnel
- Uphold all applicable laws, safety standards, and company policies

Ideal Backgrounds
We strongly encourage candidates with experience in the following to apply:
- Military (all branches; security forces, military police, infantry, or leadership roles)
- Law enforcement (active, reserve, or retired)
- Corrections or detention operations
- Emergency services (fire/EMS)
- Security in critical infrastructure, utilities, or industrial environments
What You’ll Bring
Required
- High school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience)
- Experience in military, law enforcement, security, or a related operational field
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (past 5 years)
- Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English
- Basic computer skills (report writing, email, standard software tools)
Preferred
- Experience working in controlled or high-security environments
- Familiarity with surveillance, access control, or incident management systems
- Leadership or operational experience in military or public safety roles
Additional Requirements (Job-Related & Conditional)
- Ability to meet pre-employment requirements, including background check, consistent with applicable laws
- This is a safety-sensitive position requiring a pre-employment drug screening, including marijuana, as permitted by law
- Must meet all legal requirements for possession/use of assigned equipment (including firearms or less-lethal tools where applicable)
- Ability to comply with all state and federal regulations related to the role
- Working Conditions and Essential Functions
- On-site work across multiple facilities
- Extended periods of standing, walking, and patrolling
- Ability to respond quickly to alarms or incidents
- Ability to lift/move up to ~70 lbs as needed
- Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required
