Actual compensation may differ depending on assigned hours and position status (e.g., part-time)./pp$18.57 - $23.23/ppScheduled Weekly Hours: 36/ph3Position Overview/h3pEssential Functions:/pulliProvides for safety aspects of patient care (assists with patient restraints, uses correct transfer techniques, follows falls precautions, responds appropriately to emergency situations)./liliProvides personal care (bathing, mouth care, evening care, incontinence care to patients under the direction of the RN./liliApplies appropriately basic dressings, slings, splints, antiembolism and sequential pressure stockings under the direction of the RN./liliCollects specimens such as stool, urine and sputum on a timely basis./liliEmpties and cleans ostomy and other device bags efficiently. Records accurate intake and output per unit standards./liliProvides for nutrition of patients. Feeds, monitors tube feedings, delivers nourishment, counts calories timely and accurately./liliMakes pertinent observations about patients. Documents accurate and timely observations in patient records and reports findings to RN./liliAssists with post mortem care./liliAssists with CPR under the direction/supervision of a Registered Nurse or Physician./liliPerforms Phlebotomy accurately and stocks Phlebotomy and IV trays for unit. Performs accurate glucometer testing. Performs EKGs as determined by unit and following competency attainment. Performs accurate vital signs and pulse oximetry./liliStocks supplies as required by designated unit. Maintains a well cleaned, organized environment. Performs other duties as assigned: willingness to adapt to changing department needs. Maintains patient and medication refrigerator logs./liliChecks and signs name to Unit Code Cart/Carts for operational performance each shift. Notifies clinical equipment and charge nurse of any malfunctioning defibrillator in a timely manner./li/ulh3Minimum Requirements:/h3ulliEducation: High school diploma or equivalency./liliExperience: One year prior experience as an EMT, military medic, PCA in an acute care or equivalent skill in long-term care setting, completion of a medical assistant program, or successful completion of two clinical semesters of an accredited nursing school./liliOther Credentials: AHA BLS. Non-Licensed must obtain before end of orientation period/liliKnowledge and Skills: Proficient in English, verbal and written communication./liliSpecial Training: Certification as a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) preferred.
