NorthBay Medical Center is seeking an experienced Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) for an 8-week travel assignment. The RN will provide high-quality, patient-centered care in an acute care critical care setting while collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams. Candidates must demonstrate strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in a critical care environment.
- Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes in clinical status.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies according to physician orders.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff to coordinate patient care.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and ongoing care needs.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
- Ensure safe patient handoffs and continuity of care.
- Delegate and supervise care appropriately within scope of practice.
- Advocate for patients and support positive patient outcomes and experiences.
- Adhere to hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and professional nursing standards.
Required Qualifications
- Must be willing and able to float to sister facilities as needed.
- Active California RN License
- AHA BLS Certification
- AHA ACLS Certification
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification
- Minimum 3 years of recent acute care Critical Care/ICU experience
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous travel nursing experience
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
- Experience working in high-acuity ICU settings
