Are you a dedicated Critical Care Physician looking to utilize your expertise in a dynamic inpatient setting? We are seeking a talented and committed professional to provide exceptional critical care coverage in a 20-bed ICU. This role offers flexible PRN night and weekend shifts, allowing you to maintain work-life balance while making a meaningful impact on patient outcomes in a reputable healthcare environment.
Required Skills:
- Board Certification in Critical Care Medicine (BC Critical Care)
- Valid Massachusetts Medical License
- BLS and ACLS Certifications
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant ICU experience
- Proficiency in procedures (preferred, with supervision by residents when applicable)
- Experience with Epic EMR software
- Ability to supervise and coordinate with internal medicine residents and healthcare team members
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior experience supervising residents
- Strong procedural skills in critical care settings
- Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities
- Familiarity with inpatient ICU workflows and protocols
Preferred Education and Experience:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board-certified in Critical Care Medicine
- At least 1 year of previous ICU coverage or supervisory experience in a hospital environment
Other Requirements:
- Massachusetts state license (or willing to license promptly, with current licensing preferred)
- Local candidates only; no travel reimbursement provided
- Night shifts (7p-8a) and weekends (varied shifts with 13-hour nights preferred)
- Ability to work flexibly on PRN basis to cover schedule gaps
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care and safety
