Job Summary and Qualifications
Job Summary
Responsible for providing high quality pre-hospital and interfacility advanced life support including assessment triage and treatment utilizing standards and guidelines established by HCA Healthcare North Carolina MAMA Medical Directors. The Critical Care Paramedic will be responsible for carrying out the mission of HCA Healthcare North Carolina MAMA and goals of assuring that safety remains the highest priority throughout the transport continuum.
Requirements and preferences
Paramedic Certificate from an accredited college or Associates of Science in EMS
Minimum 2 years full time critical care experience at the Critical Care Paramedic level at a demanding 911 or interfacility transport service.
Maintains current licensure and certification as a Paramedic in N.C. Office of Emergency Medical Services and will obtain S.C. prior to orientation completion
National Registry Paramedic
Maintain BCLS ACLS PALS Neonatal Resuscitation Program and advance provider ITLS or PHTLS
Maintain CCEMT-P CCP-C or FP-C preferred
Must have a valid Class C NC drivers license must be 21 years old to meet Mission Health insurance guidelines
Maintain FEMA 100 200 700 & 800
Must attend 80 of monthly scheduled team meetings
Preferences
College education or equivalent bachelors degree preferred
