Advanced Practice Provider Critical Care Fellowship

Cultivating certified providers with the highest regard for evidence-based medicine, professional practice, and critical care clinical experience.

Our vision is to prepare outstanding acute care nurse practitioners and certified physician assistants with in-depth didactic material, practical simulation, and strong clinical experiences, while developing critical thinking and procedural skills for successful critical care practice.

About the Fellowship program:
Our 9-month program at HCA Memorial Health University Medical Center gives acute care nurse practitioners or physician assistants the post-training competence with high acuity ICU diagnoses and common invasive ICU procedures allowing them to rapidly enter the ICU provider workforce. New graduates are highly encouraged to apply.
  • Applicants must be acute care boarded, licensed NP or PA with an active Georgia license before starting the fellowship
  • Rotations with focus on critically ill medical, neuro, and cardiovascular patient populations  
  • Receive feedback through exams, regular evaluations by each mentor, and competency-based procedure validation forms
  • Supervised Clinical hours and dedicated educational hours each week
  • 15 clinical shifts per month with protected didactic learning
  • W2 Employed position, Salary and Benefits provided
  • Timeline: Inaugural Program to start Sept/Oct 2026 and conclude Summer 2027
  • Accepting 2 APP Fellows
