Crisis Stabilization Social Worker (LSW/LPC)

3; 12 hour shifts/week: two weekend shifts per month

Night Shift: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM

Compensation

$31/day M-F + weekend shift differential Saturday & Sunday

National Youth Advocate Program is partnering with Franklin County Children's Services to provide mental and behavioral health care and crisis stabilization to those adolescents, youth and children who are displaced awaiting temporary or permanent home placements. In this role, the NYAP Crisis Stabilization Social Worker will work with high needs youth with the focus of stabilization 24/7/365. Based at the Columbus, OH FCCS offices and under the general supervision of the NYAP Clinical Supervisor or designee, you will be an integral contributor of an 8-member team providing services and oversite to displaced youth, providing advocacy and support toward the ultimate goal of living safely and successfully in the community.

Responsibilities

  • Provides safety assessment, crisis response, and behavioral stabilization services as required.
  • Provides individual mental health services, and other evidence based clinical services as required.
  • Assists in family reunification and stabilization efforts with the youth's primary family or other care provider

Minimum Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or comparable Human Services field from an accredited institution.
  • A valid Ohio professional license (LSW or LPC) is required
  • 2 years of work experience working in direct service with youth and families in crisis is preferred.
  • Proficient use of desktop and laptop computers, smart phones and tablets, printers, fax machines and photocopiers as well as software including word processing, spreadsheet and database programs.

Driving and Vehicle Requirements

  • Valid driver's license
  • Reliable personal transportation
  • Good driving record
  • Minimum automobile insurance coverage of $100,000/$300,000 bodily injury liability
