Crisis Intervention Specialist-After Hours Services
Evening Shift- Contingent Agreement
The Crisis Intervention Specialist provides clinical, and support services related to crisis intervention counseling, mental health evaluations, linkage to agency and community resources, and hospital pre-screening. This role is responsible for communicating with and de-escalating clients in crisis while ensuring the delivery of high-quality client care.
Responsibilities:
• Assess and prioritize client needs and available resources. • Provide timely and appropriate clinical interventions. • Conduct hospital pre-screening assessment services. • Act as a liaison with other agencies and maintain knowledge of community resources to meet client needs. • Assist in addressing consultation and education needs within the service area. • Participate in on-call responsibilities to ensure accessibility of crisis intervention mental health services. • Prepare and maintain accurate, timely clinical records.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree or Associate's Degree required.
Mental health licensure is strongly preferred (e.g., LPC, LCSW, LMFT).
Experience in crisis intervention or behavioral health is preferred.
Strong communication, de-escalation, and clinical assessment skills.
Ability to work independently in fast-paced or high-stress environments.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel within the community, if required by agency policy.
