UPMC Western Behavioral Health at Safe Harbor is excited to welcome a passionate and driven Crisis Clinician I to our Crisis Intervention team!

Our Crisis Intervention team is a close-knit group that provides 24/7 crisis services through phone support, mobile response, and walk-in assessments. Under the guidance of the Crisis Clinician Supervisor, youll offer compassionate care to individuals of all ages facing self-identified crises.

Responsibilities include: • Crisis counseling • De-escalation • Clinical assessment • Coordination of services • Meeting with clients within our community

This is a night shift position, 11p-6a, four days per week. Schedule is built on a six-week rotation. Some weekends and holidays will be required. The dress code is business casual, and parking is provided on site at no cost.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in psychology, Counseling or Social Work WITH one year of mental health direct care experience OR masters degree in psychology, Counseling or Social Work required. • Other fields of study may be considered with coursework of at least 12 credits in human services and/or relevant mental health experience. • Work history that includes phone triage, as well as an in-depth knowledge and proven skill at doing psychiatric assessments. • Experience in mental health crisis intervention, case management, or in home therapy preferred. • Excellent, recovery-oriented interpersonal relations. • Ability to work shifts, weekends, holidays, and to assume on call responsibilities.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

• Act 31 or Act 126 must be obtained within 90 days of hire or transfer. • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) • Comprehensive Crisis Management (CCM) • Drivers License • Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal • Act 33 with renewal • Act 34 with renewal • Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
