Additionally, this position provides research and analysis relative to state and national laws, rules and regulations that directly and indirectly impact the maintenance or dissemination of criminal justice information. This position must meet and maintain a National Crime Information Center (NCIC)/Florida Crime Information Center (FCIC) certification as required and is responsible for maintaining the security and integrity of data housed within the department databases.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESConducting thorough research and analysis of information from multiple resources to formulate a recommendation on administrative, operational and systematic issues or enhancements;Conducting research for relevant information from multiple databases and resources;Assisting management in the creation and maintenance of operational procedures to ensure section materials are up to date and available to section members;Assisting management in the quality assurance of criminal history records;Conducting analysis of documentation gathered for specialized requests and assisting in the determination of impact of proposed law or rules changes;Serving as liaison with Office of General Counsel (OGC) to receive direction and clarification on interpretation and department position for legal decisions;Assisting management in the tracking of section standards and workload statistics to produce departmental, divisional and section level performance reports; andAssisting in the training of section members as assigned.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIESKnowledge of the principles and techniques of effective communication;Knowledge of the criminal justice system;Knowledge of the methods of data collection;Ability to collect, evaluate and analyze data;Ability to utilize problem-solving techniques;Ability to operate computers and other office equipment;Ability to monitor criminal justice information activities;Ability to work independently by planning, organizing, and coordinating work assignments; andAbility to communicate effectively.BASE SALARY$ 47,668.14HOW YOU WILL GROWFDLE recognizes the importance of growth and success while fostering a family-oriented work environment.
