Summary

The Lubbock County Criminal District Attorney's Office has an immediate opening for a Criminal Justice Information System Analyst. The ideal candidate will be able to analyze large amounts of data for accuracy on a computer with minimal supervision.

Essential Duties

  • Communicate with law enforcement agencies to clarify arrest information.
  • Run daily reports.
  • Access Texas State Criminal Justice Information website to fix criminal history information.
  • Communicate with Prosecutors, Investigators and people outside of the District Attorney's office.
  • Communicate with IT and the County's program software company to identify problems they have to fix.
  • Help answer phones when receptionist is away.

Position Requirements

  • Advanced proficiency using computers and computer applications
  • Working knowledge of the criminal justice system and reporting processes
  • Comfortable operating a computer for long periods of time
  • Ability to multitask in different computer applications simultaneously
  • Aptitude for solving problems and correcting errors
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Superior time management skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Effective organization skills and the ability to meet deadlines
  • Capable of working with other departments to complete tasks
  • Ability to pass a drug test
  • Possess a clean criminal history
  • Education & Experience: High School Graduate or higher with experience.

Supplemental Information

Physical and Environmental Requirements: Daily duties require sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, and bending as well as speaking to and listening to other people. This job will be performed in the usual and customary office setting. Minimal heavy lifting and driving duties are required. The workweek is 40 hours per week.

Salary and Benefits: The salary is $43,950.00 per year. The successful applicant will also receive a full benefits package from Lubbock County. This includes paid holidays off, personal leave time, and other benefits in addition to health, life, dental, and vision insurance.
