Rating: Your application will be evaluated in the following areas:
Referral: This announcement is issued under "direct-hire" authority. Consistent with 5 U.S.C3304(a)(3) and OPM regulations (5 CFR 337 Subpart B) on direct-hire: All candidates who meet all the qualification and other eligibility requirements may be referred for consideration. Competitive examining rules providing for rating and ranking and veterans' preference does not apply. You may be required to participate in a selection interview. We will not reimburse costs related to the interview such as travel to and from the interview site.
If you are a displaced or surplus Federal employee (eligible for the Career Transition Assistance Plan (CTAP)/Interagency Career Transition Assistance Plan (ICTAP)) you must meet the definition below to be considered "well qualified" and receive special selection priority.
GS-13 Well Qualified Statement: To be found well qualified at this grade level, the applicant must demonstrate experience performing criminal or administrative misconduct investigations involving law enforcement officers and employees of all levels. In addition, the applicant must plan/ direct investigations that are sensitive, controversial subjects or cases involving jurisdictional problems that require cooperation between various law enforcement agencies.
GS-12 Well Qualified Statement: To be found well qualified at this grade level, the applicant must demonstrate the ability to utilize various investigative techniques to establish interrelationships of facts or evidence. In addition, they must have demonstrated experience performing criminal and administrative misconduct investigations involving law enforcement officers, OR employees of all levels. They must also demonstrate experience investigating cases involving jurisdictional problems.
Overstating your qualifications and/or experience in your application materials or application questionnaire may result in your removal from consideration. Cheating on an assessment may also result in your removal from consideration.
