KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead Criminal Defense Litigation
- Serve as lead counsel on felony and complex criminal cases
- Represent clients in hearings, motions, negotiations, and trials
- Build and execute strategic defense plans tailored to each matter
Strategic Case Development
- Identify critical issues early and guide case direction
- Prepare concise strategy outlines and risk evaluations
- Leverage prosecutorial insight to anticipate opposing tactics
Written Advocacy & Case Preparation
- Draft and review motions, briefs, and supporting filings
- Maintain organized, trial‑ready case files
- Conduct focused legal research to strengthen defense arguments
Collaboration, Leadership, & Communication
- Work closely with partners and support staff, offering guidance where needed
- Communicate consistently and professionally with clients, fostering trust through clarity and empathy
QUALIFICATIONS
- Several years of criminal practice with increasing responsibility
- Significant jury trial and federal experience
- Prior prosecutorial background strongly preferred
- Excellent legal writing and courtroom advocacy skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage a caseload independently
- Active Florida Bar license in good standing
- Experience collaborating with legal teams and support professionals
