Credit Manager
About The Role
SANY Capital USA is seeking a highly detail-oriented and seasoned Credit Manager to join our Americas team. This position requires a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in credit management, ideally with knowledge of dealer floorplan and construction equipment financing. Familiarity with nCino is preferred. The Credit Manager will perform comprehensive underwriting of entities and guarantors, analyze credit data and financial information for individuals or companies applying for credit or loans, and assess the corresponding risk for SANY Capital USA and other credit-granting institutions. Additionally, the Credit Manager will be responsible for drafting detailed credit memos and obtaining approvals. This role involves ownership of the credit management system while controlling overall departmental risk.

SANY America currently generates over $500 million in revenue and is aggressively pursuing market expansion strategies.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop an extensive understanding of complex corporate structures and identify creative methods for structuring credit approvals, including personal and corporate guarantor relationships.
- Review and analyze organizational documents, ensuring good standings with the applicable Secretary of State for entities.
- Conduct complex credit analysis and financial spreading for both entities and their guarantors, providing detailed written summaries of key financial factors and performance.
- Undertake full underwriting of new prospective dealers to determine credit risk, assign risk ratings, and establish viable credit limits, as well as structuring appropriate approvals.
- Manage credit reviews and approvals for direct customers of the parent company.
- Oversee the commercial loan portfolio (dealer floor plan financing lines of credit) and handle renewal processes for maturing loans and lines of credit, including quarterly and annual reviews and credit memo completion.
- Review and underwrite credit limit modifications.
- Make decisions regarding credit holds and assess manual holds to determine appropriate releases.
- Collaborate extensively with retail finance partners to negotiate quarterly programs and rates, preparing updated Riders.
- Track covenants, including collecting valid insurance policies.
- Analyze credit requests to assess financial and non-financial strengths, risk levels, and the feasibility of proposed credit relationships and transactions.
- Communicate financial conditions and performance (historic, current, and projected) of proposed and existing customers clearly and effectively.
- Monitor trends in customer data to promptly identify and report areas of concern or potential problem loans, recommending courses of action to mitigate risks.
- Engage in extensive communication with dealers for financial data collection, viable options for problem loans, and modifications to existing loans.
- Maintain and implement updates/changes to the credit system (nCino).
- Own the credit system reporting process, including weekly reports, system updates, and data synchronization reporting.
- Adhere to all policies, procedures, processes, company practices, guidelines, laws, and regulations while staying informed about new commercial lending developments and changing government regulations.

**Required Qualifications**
- Minimum of three to five years of commercial underwriting experience in banking, commercial finance, or a captive finance environment; understanding of equipment manufacturer dealer floor plan financing is a plus.
- Comprehensive knowledge of commercial loan underwriting, including the full commercial lending process, complex corporate structures, and standards for creditworthiness.
- Strong experience in credit underwriting with extensive skills in reviewing, analyzing, and interpreting financial data to determine credit limits and risk assessments.
- High-level decision-making capabilities and accountability, along with effective communication skills for interacting with dealer principals and internal executives.
- Ability to propose risk mitigation plans and adapt to ad hoc situations/projects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, graphs, pivot tables, v-lookups) and familiarity with Microsoft Office.
- Competence in calculating figures, amounts, ratios, and formulas, as well as computing interest, discounts, and fees.
- Experience with nCino and/or Salesforce is advantageous.
- Effective written communication skills, including the ability to query reports and generate reports and letters.
- Strong time management skills to plan, create, maintain, and resolve open issues while prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
- Process-driven, detail-oriented, results-driven, and self-motivated with the ability to produce accurate results and meet established goals and objectives.

**Education**
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
