About the Opportunity
Our client is seeking a Credit & Collections Specialist to join a collaborative Accounts Receivable team supporting a large commercial customer base. This position is responsible for managing an assigned portfolio of approximately 30-50 customer accounts representing over $8 million in receivables while partnering closely with Sales and Credit to resolve customer issues and improve collections performance.

Key Responsibilities
Manage a commercial Accounts Receivable portfolio of approximately 30-50 customer accounts
Monitor aging reports and proactively collect outstanding balances
Research account discrepancies and ensure payments and credits are applied accurately
Perform customer account reconciliations
Review customer payment trends and ensure established payment terms are followed
Partner with Sales Representatives to resolve billing disputes and collection issues
Prepare and send past due notices
Make collection calls and communicate professionally through email and phone
Review customer accounts on credit hold and assist with account maintenance
Assist with customer credit reviews and supporting documentation
Analyze Excel reports using filters, sorting, and data analysis tools
Document collection activity and maintain accurate customer records
Qualifications
2+ years of Commercial (B2B) Credit & Collections experience preferred
Experience managing an assigned customer portfolio
Strong account reconciliation and research skills
Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills (sorting, filtering, analyzing data)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational and time management abilities
Ability to prioritize multiple accounts while meeting collection goals
Professional customer service skills and attention to detail
